The edgy and sharp panels are crafted with multi-layer plastic exteriors both in matt in a glossy finish. Being an underbone motorcycle it comes with a tilted vertically aligned engine under the frame and features a fully featured wheel, brake, and suspension setup like regular motorcycles.

In the wheels, the Yamaha Sniper 155 comes with a street-focused wheel setup featuring alloy rims and tubeless type tires in measure of 90/80-17 tire in the front and 120/70-17 at the rear. In the braking here both the wheels feature hydraulic disc braking systems and the braking is enhanced with single-channel ABS in the updated “R” version.

Coming to the suspension system, the Yamaha Sniper 155 features upright telescopic fork suspension in the front, and at the rear it holds a mono suspension system attached to the swingarm hinge. However, here the rear suspension is a few steps adjustable which is convenient to adjust the preloads.

The engine is a 155cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve SOHC engine. The engine features a bore & stroke of 58.0mm×58.7mm and a notable compression ratio of 10.5:1. 

This electronically fuel-injected engine is ignited by a Transistor Controlled Ignition (TCI) system and features VVA with an Assist & Slipper clutch system. The transmission is a 6-speed gear transmission in a pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5-6, and it starts with an electric start only. Thus, the engine has been optimized to be efficient in power production, smoother power delivery, quicker acceleration, as well as ensuring a significant range of fuel economy.

Regarding power and performance, the Yamaha Sniper 155 engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 17.9PS at 9,500RPM and a torque of 14.4Nm at 8,000RPM.
