It comes with a 249cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, DOHC 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine featuring DFI® with a 44mm Keihin throttle body and dual injector setup. The ignition is a digital DC-CDI system. The engine features a bore and stroke of 78.0mm x 52.2mm and a compression ratio of 14.1:1.
Here, the clutch system is a wet multi-plate manual clutch controlled by a hydraulic clutch actuation system, and the transmission comprises 5-speed gears arranged in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. In addition, the gear shift and power drive are assisted by Power Modes, Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC), and Launch Control Mode. Meanwhile, the engine starting features an electric start system only.
