VERDICT
Kawasaki KSR Pro is a mini motorcycle. These kinds of bikes are made for people who are either new to motorcycling or are in ways physically challenged. These motorcycles allow people to have a short learning curve. These motorcycles are also easier to ride in heavy traffic. These motorcycles are generally shorter and smaller in size. They can look cute, but they can hit about 100kmph of speed on the highway.
Kawasaki is a Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, which is considered one of the best motorcycle companies in the world. Kawasaki is also considered a Japanese Giant when it comes to motorcycle production. The name Kawasaki KSR PRO can be a bit misleading. Considering the KSR PRO is a naked bike with power figures a little south of 150cc motorcycles, the KSR PRO can be expected to be better. However, the Kawasaki KSR PRO is a minibike.
Kawasaki Z125 Pro is a pretty small size, tight & compact sports motorcycle. The motorcycle is basically designed for city commuting, sports riding and for young age, people learning. Considering its different dimensions and feature it cannot be categorized as a pocket bike but it is also not a regular bike. Therefore somewhat from the category moped the word Mini-Bike suits pretty well on Kawasaki Z125 Pro.
Kawasaki Z125 PRO – First Look & Appearance
At first look, you will find Kawasaki Z125 Pro is a nice-looking sports bike with compact dimensions. Its wheelbase is shorter than a scooter. The wheels are also shorter than some of the scooters. So you can guess overall it’s a compact motorcycle like a pit bike.
Though it’s a mini bike it is featured sporty looks & design. The motorcycle comes with a very compact body panel, a smaller seat, and a fuel tank. It’s quite a miniature of a regularly featured motorcycle, so nothing is sliced out or sacrificed from its features.
Z125 Pro comes with a very impressive cutting edge profile in its design. Starting from the headlamp assembly it’s a compact unit but fitted with regular light and indicator fittings. The ODO is featured with a full digital display that is added with a nice analog rev-counter.
The fuel tank is not so small that comes with a capacity of 7.4 liters. The tank looks pretty gorgeous with extended & sharp bikini cowling. Moreover the underbelly engine cowling with underbelly exhaust it’s really damn impressive.
The motorcycle was constructed on a backbone frame. But it is covered with a wider frame-like plastic panel that nicely matched the side panels. Coming to the rear there is nothing like a grab rail but comes with a full-size mudguard, number plate bracket & turning indicators.
The most appealing part of the rear is its double Z-shaped LED tail-lamp assembly that fitted under the seat. The seat is not a large unit but sufficient for a full-aged rider.
Carrying a pillion will be critical but no matter if they are aged teens. Again riders over 5’8” will literary struggle to ride this mini-size bike. But whatsoever overall it’s a nice-looking sporty learner motorcycle for both the boys and girls.
Key Features:
As previously mentioned, the Kawasaki KSR PRO is a minibike. It has a small frame with small everything. However, the styling of the bike was taken from the Kawasaki Z series, which makes it look quite aggressive. The bike has a small head but a large headlight. The bike is also quite rounded, unlike the Honda Grom. The bike comes in two different colors in Bangladesh. They are
Green.
Black.
Both the bikes have similar color contrast. The bikes have little to no decals, except for some brandings.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO comes with very basic lights. The headlight and the taillight are both halogen lights, while the indicators are LED. The halogen lights are not much of a turn-off because Kawasaki claims that the bike is made to “Conquer the City”. So, the halogen lights will be enough for the city commute. The taillight and the LED designs are both very similar to the bigger Kawasaki Z series bikes.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a speedometer, an odometer, a trip meter, an RPM counter, and other necessary indicators. The instrument cluster also has a clock and a gear position indicator. The instrument cluster may not have a lot of instruments, but it is enough for the city commute.
Physical Attributes:
The Kawasaki KSR PRO is a minibike, with a seat height of 780mm. The bike is mostly suited for riders under 5’5”. Any height above that and the handlebars will start hitting the knees. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 7.3liters, which is great for a regular commuter.
The length, width, height, and weight of the Kawasaki KSR PRO are 1725mm, 740mm, 1020mm, and 94kg respectively. The bike is lighter than the Z125 Pro. It also has a shorter wheelbase than the Z125 Pro. The wheelbase of the bike is 1170mm, which makes it very nimble and fun in the corners. The bike also has a ground clearance of 225mm, which makes it completely immune to all speedbumps.
Engine and Transmission:
The Kawasaki KSR PRO comes with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, and 110cc engine. The engine is air-cooled and carbureted. The engine pumps out 8.6PS of power at 8000rpm and 8.6Nm torque at 6000rpm. The power and torque figure are not very high, which means that the bike will struggle to go uphill for a longer period, and will also struggle on the highway. The bike is expected to have a mileage of around 45kmpl on average.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO has a basic wet multi-plate clutch system. The Kawasaki KSR PRO has a 4-speed gearbox and the bike has an approximate top speed of about 100kmph. The 4-speed gearbox will make it easy to take turns without shifting.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheel:
The Kawasaki KSR PRO does not have any ABS. The front and the rear wheel both get disc brakes. This is great, as most 110cc bikes don’t have discs at all. This increases the braking efficiency of the bike a lot.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO has 30mm upside-down telescopic forks as the front suspension with 130mm travel. The rear has a mono shock-absorbing suspension. This means that the bike will be highly stable during rides and also during cornering. Although the rear seat is nearly nonexistent, the rear suspension can cover up for a small seat.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO gets alloy wheels. The front and rear wheels have 70/100 and 90/100 tires respectively. The tires are tubeless, which is great for a small-capacity bike. The overall setup of the bike’s tires is quite good for the city.
Target Audience:
The Kawasaki KSR PRO was made for youngsters just learning to ride. This bike induces confidence in new riders who are still learning the ropes. This bike has good power and torque figures, yet is not as overwhelming when riding, due to its smooth riding. The Kawasaki KSR PRO is also for people who want to buy a premium commuting bike that can squeeze through almost anything.
Competitors:
Weirdly, the Kawasaki KSR PRO has 2 competitors, but the competitors are strong enough to question the buyer’s decisions.
Suzuki Hayate.
Honda Livo Disc.
Hero Splendor iSmart.
The Kawasaki KSR PRO is an exceptional bike that has the capabilities to make anyone’s head turn. The bike is one of the very few minibikes available in Bangladesh, fortunately, it is quite good. The Kawasaki KSR PRO has the capability of becoming the best Minibike in Bangladesh.
