Bangladesh Honda Private Limited (BHL) has officially started export operations which is considered a significant milestone in Bangladesh's export trade.

In January, BHL conducted a trial shipment by air of the Honda X-Blade model to Guatemala. On Tuesday, another container shipment departed from the company's factory situated in Gazaria, Munshiganj. This product will reach Guatemala via sea route.

In the future, Bangladesh Honda Private Limited plans to export into South America, Central America, and Africa. We expect this attempt may contribute further to Bangladesh's export trade sector.

In a press release, BHL stated that the export initiative will strengthen its contribution to both local and international markets. It will increase local supply, generate foreign reserves, and play a significant role in employment and the economy through the motorcycle business. This initiative also reflects BHL's commitment to upgrading Bangladesh's position in the global two-wheeler market and supplying high-quality motorcycles to more developed regions worldwide.

BHL's Managing Director and CEO Shigeru Matsuzaki said, "We are taking two major steps— increasing local supply and earning foreign currency by exporting. Our goal is to support Bangladesh's economy and improve people's quality of life through the motorcycle business."

BHL's Chief Production Officer Hiroyuki Yasunaga said, "We are proud to show Bangladesh's production capabilities globally and we remain committed to producing world-class motorcycles that meet international standards for both the international and domestic markets."
