The Bajaj Freedom 125 is a recent addition to the Bajaj commuter motorcycle lineup. Bajaj Auto has released this all-new motorcycle as a part of their 2024 product lineup. It's a dual-fuel-driven motorcycle, therefore, the world’s first CNG motorcycle that runs by both CNG and regular gasoline. Accordingly, the motorcycle comes with two separate gas tanks inside featuring 2kg CNG and a 2-liter petrol capacity by which it can roll over 300 kilometers.

The design of the Bajaj Freedom 125 adopted an all-new exterior profile crafted on a sporty exposed trellis frame. Featuring a comfortable single-piece quilted seat and compact fuel tank housing the motorcycle translates a true streetfighter ergonomics even being a commuter. Therefore, the motorcycle features a naked-sport body profile and upright riding ergonomics along with a wider pipe handlebar.
However, the motorcycle highlights its body design with its uniquely designed multi-pit LED headlamp assembly featuring integrated LED DRLs. Above the headlamp, a fully digital ODO cluster is mounted naked without any fairing. It's completely a new unit that features an attractive negative display and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones. The pipe handlebar comes with necessary control switch arrangements along with a fuel-toggle switch, that enhances the motorcycle's overall control and functionality.
The fuel tank outer jacket retains a unique shape that has received a multi-scalp design where the CNG cylinder is placed under the seat within the trellis frame and the auxiliary petrol tank is housed inside the tank fairing. However, the tank fairing has a large opening that holds a separate tank cap for gasoline and a nozzle for CNG refilling. Then after a large seat, the tail features a nicely designed grab rail and sharply designed LED tail lamp underneath.
In the other body elements, the motorcycle attractively features compact side panels, front fork sleeve protectors, beefy front mudguard, and a compact rear tire hugger. Bajaj Freedom 125 – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:
The new Bajaj Freedom 125 is designed on an exposed trellis frame, which is rigid and ensures high stability to the motorcycle. However, the motorcycle comes with a very decent configuration in terms of the wheel, brake, and suspension system. In the wheels, the standard model of the motorcycle is fitted with sporty alloy rims and 90/80-17 tire at the front and a 120/70-16 tire at the rear.
In the braking system, the standard version of the new Bajaj Freedom 125 features a hydraulic disc brake on the front wheel, and the rear wheel features a conventional drum-type brake. Side-by-side, the other version of the motorcycle is also available with the drum brake system on both wheels. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 124.58cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. The engine can run both with CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and regular gasoline.
However, this dual-fuel-driven engine is featured with a 2-valve system and an electronic fuel injection system. The engine is fitted with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission with the pattern 1-N-2-3-4-5. The motorcycle starts using both Kickstarter and electric start systems.
In terms of power and performance, the new Bajaj Freedom 125 engine has been optimized to deliver enhanced power, torque, and low-cost commuting performances. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 9.5PS at 8,000RPM and a torque of 9.7Nm at 5,000RPM when running by CNG.
