Currently, KTM, an Austrian brand motorbike, is popularly used by the youth in Bangladesh. The company is recognized as a producer of high performance sport and adventure motorcycles. Major cities having KTM dealer outlets include Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Its models in Bangladesh span across its Duke and RC series.
Known for its streetfighter styling and maneuverable handling, the KTM Duke series. In the assortment there are models designed for different markets – KTM Duke 125 European and KTM Duke 125 Indian. In Bangladesh, the Duke series sells well because of their strong engines with added features like ABS plus slipper clutch.
KTM Duke 125 European: The Austrian-made KTM Duke 125 European version. Liquid cooled, single cylinder, four stroke air cooled engine 124.7 cc). It is a good choice for newbies as well as urban riders as it produces 15 horsepower and has a torque of 12 Nm.
It has a six speed transmission and a slipper clutch for quick and smooth shifting between the gears. Furthermore, it has inverted front forks and a rear monoshock that provides comfort and control riding across various terrains.
The bike looks like modern and it has an electronic speedometer along with the turn indicators and braking system of ABS. The bike’s trellis frame is also light while its exhaust system is high quality enhancing its performance.
KTM Duke 125 Indian: The local Indian made KTM Duke 125 version differs slightly from its European counterpart. It has the same liquid cooled, single cylinder and four strokes engine found on the European models. However, it generates slightly low power which is 14.5HP & 12 NMs.
It also has a six-gear drive and a slipper clutch. Nonetheless, the suspension varies with the normal telescopic forks at the front end and the mono-shocks at the backside.
It also comes with a digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, tail lamp, etc. and has a dual-channel ABS. Similarly, it is composed of trellis frames and a sound exhaust system as the European model.
