This is Mahfuz Hasan, I am from Dinajpur, and by profession, I am a lecturer at a college in Dinajpur. I have been riding motorcycles for many years. I used to use motorcycle for my daily life commuting and also, I’m a freak of traveling countrywide with my motorcycle. Hence, several time I asked myself why I ride motorcycle and the same question asked me many people why I ride motorcycle so frequently and why no other vehicle I ever chose. So here I’m sharing my thoughts about motorcycles and motorcycling.

Why I Ride Motorcycle?

To me motorcycle is something that empowers a man and connects with his surroundings and enjoy the freedom. Motorcycles are ideal for exploring places because they offer a unique blend of independence, agility, and immersion. They are excellent for exploring places for several reasons. Motorcycles offer a unique sense of freedom, allowing you to easily access remote or narrow areas that larger vehicles can’t reach. This flexibility makes them ideal for exploring back roads, trails, and even hidden paths.

At the same time, riding a motorcycle makes you feel much more connected to your surroundings compared to other modes of traveling. With an open view, you can fully appreciate the sights, sounds, and even smells of the environment- whether you’re on a coastal highway, a mountain pass, or a desert road.

Actually, you can feel the openness of the road and adapt your route spontaneously. Motorcycles are agile, which makes them perfect for weaving through city streets, traffic, or winding mountain roads. This is particularly useful for exploring congested cities or unexpected terrain.

Motorcycles are generally more fuel-efficient than other vehicles, which means you can cover more ground for less money. This is a huge advantage if you're planning a long distance trip or a cross-country adventure. It means having a trip on a motorcycle is ideal for exploring on a budget.

Riding a motorcycle involves some level of physical and mental engagement that amplifies the sense of adventure. Every twist, turn, and shift of the road feels more intense, which can make your journey more exhilarating and memorable. The motorcycle community is known for its unity and hospitality. Fellow motorcyclists are often more willing to help each other out, offer tips on the best routes, or share recommendations on places to visit.

Motorcycles encourage you to travel light, introducing you to an unseen world. This can lead to a more focused, immersive travel experience, as you’re less burdened by excess baggage or distractions. Exploring by motorcycle is both a practical and thrilling way to immerse yourself in a new location or rediscover familiar places.

It’s an experience that brings you closer to nature and the journey itself, making each trip feel like a unique adventure. With a motorcycle, exploration feels raw and adventurous, making each journey an opportunity to discover something new.
