GPX Legend 150S Feature Review - Overview
GPX Motorcycles started its journey in 2007 – though it is not so long ago, but GPX motorcycles spent so much effort to understand what people really want, and they started selling exactly the same things. So, as a result, GPX Motors became the no 3 most registered Thai motorcycle brand in Thailand. GPX Motors began their journey with ATV. In 2009, they launched their first Motorcycle which was a motocross bike. And from that, they expanded to Motorcycles and created their own company standard.

Very Recently Motorcycle World Limited Launched GPX Legend 150S – a 150cc variant of the popular Café Racer series “Legend” by GPX motorcycles. This is the third bike to get launched by Motorcycle World Ltd. In this year, and unlike Aprilia RS4 125 and KTM Duke 125 2017 Edition, The GPX Legend 150S is really affordable and street friendly for Bangladeshi riders. Moreover, this is a café racer bike, which is a really popular segment in Bangladesh, so in theory, not only this will be a really popular choice but also will be a successful bike in terms of sales.
GPX Legend 150S Feature Review – Appearance
The Legend 150S is basically a Café Racer with the ergonomics of a street bike. First of all what catches the attention is the matte paint job of the bike – which is different than the other variants of the series. The bike is packed with lots and lots of manliness – and they all starts from the spoke wheels. Spoke wheels in a street bike is close to unimaginable nowadays, but Legend 150S comes with beautifully designed spoke rims on both wheels along with old fashioned telescopic fork at the front and Dual spring suspensions in the rear. The bike features a good old fashioned round headlight along with a pipe handle, round speedometer, and standard controls, even an engine kill switch! The fuel tank is moderate sized along with some curves and round edges. Beyond the fuel tank is the slick, flat and limited sized brat- style seat which ends is a curvy plastic panel, which finishes in the mudguard along with the tail light.

The most amazing part of the speedometer is though it is round shaped, it is semi-digital where the analogue dial indicates the RPM and the digital part shows speed, odo, fuel gauge, etc. One of the most classic parts of this bike is the front mudguard which looks like it is designed in the era of World War II. Another fantastic feature is the indicators, which is in the shape of the engines of a jet plane. Last but not least, this bike features a grab rail like none others - and that looks fantastic. Overall, Legend 150S has a really classic and calm design along with mind blowing paint finishing which makes it really nice to look at.
GPX Legend 150S Feature Review – Body, Brakes and Suspensions
The Legend 150S has a nice chassis along with all the modern features. For instant the tires are of pretty good sizes – the front one is 110/90 and the rear one is 120/90 – both of which will ensure proper grip during riding and braking. The suspensions are no so state of the art but they get along perfectly with the theme of the bike, so does the pipe handle and the standard switches. The bike has a disc brake in the front and a drum brake in the rear – and it is a descent combination for a 150cc motorcycle all around the world. The brat styled seat may not seem too much comfortable but it certainly is stylish. This bike has a weight of 130 kgs which is really average considering that the other 150cc motorcycles in Bangladesh weighs roughly the same. There is self-start only, no kick start option so this could be a matter in the winter season. The exhaust is a long one – and it seems little similar to the exhaust of Bajaj V15.
GPX Legend 150S Feature Review – Engine and Transmission
The Legend 150S carries a 149cc four stroked air cooled engine which pumps out its power through a 6-speed transmission! Now 6-speed transmission in a street bike is not quite usual but, The Legend does it anyway. The engine has only self-start – and no kick start. The power to weight ratio of the bike is pretty good, and it will be a great city machine. Company claims that the top speed for the bike is 120km/h, and it doesn’t seem so impossible considering the power output and specially the transmission. Overall, GPX Legend 150S not only has a classic and stylish looks and body, but it also has the horses to run and be a proper café racer in the town and the highway.
