Zonsen Cyclone RC250 – The Segment’s First Single Swing Arm Bike In Bangladesh

Last updated on 02-Mar-2026 , By Badhon Roy

There was a time when Zonsen was a familiar name on the roads of Bangladesh. During the 1990s and early 2000s, the brand competed strongly with Japanese and Indian models. Although it gradually moved out of the spotlight, many riders from the older generation still associate the name with nostalgia.

After a long gap, Zongshen has returned to the local market with a higher capacity model. Under the distribution of Dragon Motors, the company has introduced the Zonsen Cyclone RC250. The bike has already created discussion among enthusiasts after its images surfaced on social media.

The design clearly reflects an aggressive sports character. The full fairing body kit, fixed spoiler and forward leaning riding position give it a track inspired presence. The most striking feature is the single swing arm which is usually seen on higher capacity sports bikes. This setup not only enhances the visual appeal but also offers better weight distribution and easier rear wheel maintenance.

Powering the bike is a 250cc liquid cooled fuel injected single cylinder engine. It produces a maximum of 28.83 horsepower and 29.23 Nm of torque at 9000 rpm. The six speed gearbox paired with an FCC slipper clutch ensures smooth gear shifts. The top speed is expected to be around 150 to 155 km per hour.

In terms of features, the model comes well equipped. A 6.75 inch TFT display shows speed rpm gear position trip meter navigation tyre pressure warning and traction control status. There is also a USB charging port. Switchable traction control and an electronic quick shifter add to the performance package. Factory fitted dashcams are in addition and unique feature.

The suspension setup includes KYB USD forks at the front and a multi adjustable monoshock at the rear. Both wheels get disc brakes along with single channel ABS. The 13 litre fuel tank is expected to deliver a mileage of around 30 to 35 km per litre. The curb weight stands at 152 kg and ground clearance is 140 mm.

Zonsen’s return with the Cyclone RC250 signals fresh competition in the sports segment. However its long term success in the market will depend on pricing after sales service and availability of spare parts.
