Last updated on 28-Aug-2024 , By Ashik Mahmud
At the 2018 Indonesia International Auto Show at Jakarta Suzuki showcased Suzuki GSX 150 Bandit. Suzuki Bandit is a naked sports bike from Suzuki and it carries many things from it’s elder brother Suzuki GSX-S150.
Suzuki GSX 150 Bandit : Will Rancon Bring It?
Suzuki GSX 150 Bandit uses the same 150cc water cooled engine we saw in Suzuki GSX-R150. The engine is fuel injected and it produces 19 BHP & 14 NM of Torque. Comparing to Suzuki GSX -150 it uses the same chassis, telescopic front suspensions, mono shock suspensions on the rear. The frame of the bike is different as now Suzuki GSX 150 Bandit doesn’t have a split seat but rather a single saddle seat like Honda CB150R Streetfire. It also borrows the same twin exhaust which we saw in Suzuki sports bikes in Bangladesh. They changed the styling of the bike. The bike has trapezoidal shaped LED headlight, digital speedometer, large fuel tank with air scoop on its side to make the bike look more mascular, pipe handle bar & rear grab rail for pillion. The bike will weigh 135 kg. Currently not too many details are out in the market but we are expecting that they will launch this motorcycle in Indonesia at the end of the year.
If Rancon Motorbikes Ltd (sole distributor of Suzuki Motorcycles in Bangladesh) bring Suzuki GSX 150 Bandit in Bangladesh it will be a great thing. First of all this will be a good comfortable motorcycle as it is a naked sports bike, then there is the power, 19 BHP! That is near about the same power as a Yamaha R15 V3 but we can say that the price of Suzuki Bandit will be very less than that of Yamaha R15 V3.In the Bangladeshi market both Honda & Yamaha have Indonesian made sports bike for the market, with Kawasaki bringing all their bikes from Thailand or Indonesia it is high time that Suzuki too join in the performance bike segment.
