Suzuki Gixxer is one of the most awaited bike in Bangladesh. It was launched in India in early September and since then it has been one of the best selling bike (in the 150cc category) in India and since then bikers of Bangladesh is waiting for it to come & touch the tarmac of our road.

Today Rancon Motorbikes Bangladesh LTD launched 6th National Air Gun Championship competition at the National Shooting Federation Bangladesh in Gulshan-1 Dhaka. The opening ceremony was attended by many high officials from Rangs Group and Executive Vice Chairperson of Rangs Group Mrs. Zakia Rouf Chowdhury opened the three day event by flying balloons in the sky. The event was attended by many shooter from many different parts of the Bangladesh.

Today they displayed Suzuki GS150R, Hayate & Slingshot but most disappointing was they didn’t displayed GIXXER. Though they did bought some posters of it but sadly there weren’t any LIVE bike.

Gixxer is a nickname of Suzuki’s legendary GSX-R series. The name GSX-R stands for speed, power and head turner design Suzuki Gixxer has carried all the momentum of that GSX-R to fight against the 150cc bikes on track.

The bike is powered by a 155cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine. It pumps out 14.6 BHP which is the most powerful engine in the 150cc category among the entire air cooled engines in Bangladesh, the bike also pumped out 14 NM of Torque. The engine is equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance technology, which helps to increase fuel efficiency. It is also equipped with Suzuki’s patented SJCS which means Suzuki Jet Cooling System. It sprays oil on piston when piston tends to get hot.

The bike has a fuel tank of 12 liters and it weighs only 135 kg. Equipped with a front disc and a rear drum brake. The rear tyre of the bike is almost the same as that fitted on a Yamaha FZS. But the two things which really attract the bikers are: The twin exhaust & the digital instrument panel which among all the things it needed to have has a clock equipped with it.

Most people in Bangladesh ask whether this bike will come in Bangladesh? The answer is yes, because the rules in Bangladesh is that anybody can ride a motorcycle legally with approval from BRTA which has a minimum engine displacement of 49cc to a maximum of 155cc, according to the brochure which was distributed during the event it says that the engine displacement of Gixxer is 154.9 cc to be precise so yes it meets the regulation fair and square.

According to the marketing department of Rancon Motorbikes Bangladesh LTD, Suzuki Gixxer is expected to come in Bangladesh in February-March of 2015 price of the bike 2,40,000 Tk  which is competitive with its Japanese counter part. Lets See Suzuki Gixxer price in Bangladesh here.
