Kawasaki Ninja 125 Feature Review – Ninja Kid Unleashed
Kawasaki Ninja 125 – Overview
The Kawasaki Ninja 125 is the brand new motorcycle in the Kawasaki Ninja Series. The motorcycle is the smallest Ninja in the series that carries the core DNA of the Kawasaki Ninja. Hence it’s the youngest Supersports model in the green Kawasaki stable.
The release of this new motorcycle first time was announced in 2017 EICMA on November 2017. That time Mr. Kazuo Ota the President of Kawasaki Motorcycle & Engine Division officially made that announcement. Whereas Mr. Morihiro Ikoma the Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe confirmed as two brand new motorcycle will hit Europe at the tail of 2018.
Hence on October 02, 2018, at Intermot Show Kawasaki officially released two brand new model as they announced. Therefore the Kawasaki Ninja 125 and Z125 are now in the European market. Afterward, it’s expected to be in the Asian market soon with regional standards and price rearrangements.
Kawasaki Ninja 125 – Ninja Looks & Design
The new Kawasaki Ninja 125 is a Supersports model as Kawasaki Europe showcased this in their website. They kept the motorcycle details under the category of Supersports head. Hence it’s the smallest Supersports model that carries the Ninja Supersports DNA.
So coming to the looks, design and appearance it’s quite a clone of the existing quarter liter Ninja. Therefore the motorcycle widely borrowed the Ninja looks and ergonomics from the Ninja 250SL model.
Here the chassis, wheel, brake and suspension system all are hired from Ninja 250SL. But Ninja 125 carries different engine, dimension, color scheme and different sticker jobs. So entirely those variance made different look and appeal on the new breed.Furthermore here the exterior, panel and body design are quite a true copy of the Ninja 250SL model. So you can understand the motorcycle is a complete & full size Ninja that comes with different skin and smaller engine.
Whatsoever the motorcycle got all new multi tome sharp color and sticker job. The panels are crafted with both glossy and matte finishes. Moreover the exposed tubular frame with sharp colors along with different stickers those made huge difference on this model.

Hence at a glance, it’s a full faired but tubular frame exposed motorcycle that comes with a single headlamp assembly. Here the seat is sporty split with sharp LED tail lamp and bikini rear fender. So seating is aggressive sporty with lowered clip-on handlebars.
Again here the ODO is full digital unit after the wider and arrowhead sharp windshield. Here the fuel tank, exhaust and wheel disks all are iconic to its Ninja profile. So in every angle it’s a true Ninja from giant Kawasaki that carries the Ninja DNA.
Kawasaki Ninja 125 – Wheel, Brake & Suspension
In-wheel, brake and suspension system the new Kawasaki Ninja 125 also is the true copy of Ninja 250SL. Again it’s the same tubular diamond steel frame. So the chassis, wheel, brake and suspension performance and reliability is already tested.
Whatsoever the new Ninja 125 comes with 17” all alloy rims with tubeless type tires. The tires are 100/80-17 in front and 130/70-17 in rear. Here braking system is hydraulic type in froth front and rear wheel.
Here the disks are sporty petal and vented disk which is same even in dimension in Ninja 250SL. Hence braking in a sudden situation is safer with new Kawasaki Ninja 125 as it also comes with impendent ABS system with its brakes.Coming to the motorcycle suspension system it’s upright hydraulic telescopic type in front. Whereas the suspension cylinder dia is 37mm and the travel is 110mm so it’s better featured for sports riding.
Hence again the rear one is mono suspension that unites with a swingarm featuring Uni-Track links. Again the suspension is gas charged and its 5-steps adjustable therefore height and stiffness is also adjustable.
So you can see the new Ninja 125 is fully featured with its wheel brake and suspension system. Hence as you know it hired its chassis from the tested quarter-liter so it put no loose end to question on its performance.
Kawasaki Ninja 125 Feature – Engine & Performance
The new Kawasaki Ninja 125 comes with an all-new 125cc single-cylinder engine that is also used in the new Z125. Here the engine is featured & tuned the same on both bikes. Whatever the engine is a four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that featured with fuel injection system and DOHC 4-Valves.
Hence this 11.7:1 higher compression engine comes with high rev characteristics and can produce significant power and torque. Due to the oversquare cylinder, its power is quite higher than the torque figure.
Hence it can deliver the maximum power of 15PS at 7,700RPM and 11.7NM torque at 11,000RPM. So you can understand this high rev engine is better tuned for street sports performance and fun playing.
Coming to the other feature this motorcycle was developed by Kawasaki (Heavy Industries) European R&D. So the engine comes with EURO4 emission standards. Consequently, this engine ensures maximum utilization of fuel and therefore ensures an optimum level of performance along with significant fuel efficiency. So this is the significance this new Ninja kid.
