Hyosung Aquila GV300 - V-Twin Engine Bobber Bike Now In Bangladesh

Last updated on 11-Nov-2024 , By Badhon Roy

Although we’re familiar with cruiser motorcycles, the bobber is another type of cruiser that’s relatively new to Bangladeshi bikers. The main difference between a bobber and a traditional cruiser is that bobbers are more compact, muscular, and slightly lighter.

Known for their aggressive look, powerful and smooth riding feel, and strong road presence, bobber bikes have gained unique popularity worldwide and often highlighted in movies. To introduce Bangladeshi bikers an 8-valve V-twin engine bobber bike, renowned Korean brand Hyosung has brought its 300cc Aquila GV300 to Bangladesh.

Hyosung Aquila GV300 - Design

As mentioned, the design of the Hyosung Aquila GV300 combines cruiser styling with bobber characteristics. Inspired by world-famous Harley Davidson bikes its design features a large twin-cylinder engine, round headlamp, cruiser-shaped tail light, compact seat, and metal body giving it a strong, aggressive look. Although it appears so bigger and heavy, the seating position makes it easy to handle. Its unique design will undoubtedly attract attention.

Hyosung Aquila GV300 - Engine Specifications

The Hyosung Aquila GV300’s engine is bound to catch any biker’s eye. It features a 296cc, V-twin, 8-valve, 4-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection and liquid cooling producing 29.7 horsepower and 25.6 Nm of torque at 8,500 RPM.

Equipped with a dual oil-bath, wet multi-plate main clutch, slipper clutch, and a 6-speed gearbox, it offers a smooth and powerful performance. The top speed is estimated to be around 145-150 km/h. The bike has a 3-liter lubricant capacity and uses 10w-40 engine oil. For oil filter changes, an additional 200 ml (total 3.2 liters) of engine oil is required.

Hyosung Aquila GV300 – Features

Notable features of the Hyosung Aquila GV300 include:

Seat Height, Weight, and Ground Clearance: With a seat height of 710 mm and ground clearance of 150 mm, bikers of various heights can ride comfortably. It has a curb weight of 172 kg, which is heavier than many other bikes in Bangladesh.

Ignition System: Self-electric ignition.

Digital Instrument Cluster with Analog Tachometer: The instrument cluster is unique, combining a large traditional analog tachometer with a digital display showing fuel level, trip meters, speedometer, gear position, ABS indicator, fuel injection fault alert, and dual engine temperature indicators.

Powerful Lighting: Equipped with halogen headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, it has a stylish, retro appearance. A 12-volt, 5-amp dry cell battery powers the lights and ignition system.

Tubeless Tires: Front tire size is 120/80-16, and rear tire size is 150/80-15, providing stability and comfort for long rides.

Brakes: For enhanced safety, it features a 270 mm disc with dual-piston calipers in the front and a 250 mm disc with dual-piston calipers at the back, alongside dual-channel ABS.

Suspension System: Upside-down forks (USD) in the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear offer a comfortable riding experience.

Mileage: According to available information, with a 12.5-liter fuel tank, it can achieve a mileage of 25 km per liter. Although, it may seem the mileage is poor in our general perception but we have to admit that a 300cc 8 valve twin cylinder engine produces way more power so the fuel consumption is justified.

In summary, with impressive specifications the Hyosung Aquila GV300 is well-equipped to become a competitive option in Bangladesh’s cruiser motorcycle segment in the race of higher cc era. We are hopeful that Hyosung will launch it with an affordable price for this popular model making it accessible to local bikers while ensuring quality after-sales service.
