Hero HF Dawn Visual Review

hero hf dawn reviewHero HF Dawn is a 100cc great commuter bike from Hero Motocorp. It’s an Indian R&D developed . The bike is basically designed for one’s daily commuting. From the huge success of former Hero Honda Splendor and current Hero Splendor, Hero Motocorp thought to release a bike in the market which will perform near like Splendor but cost less then the Splendor. But the bike won’t look like the Splendor and something different. So they concentrated for different look & design and some other things, which are completely different from Splendor. And Hero HF Dawn is the end result.

When developing the Hero HF Dawn, the designers tried to blend the classic look with modern commuting features. Once looking at this bike, you will find as they have done it successfully.

The big and round headlight without any windshield, spoke wheels with steel rim, half-covered rear suspensions, a small carrier at the back all those remind of the classic bikes like Honda Roadmaster 200 or Honda CD250. But after the classics the modern touch kicks inside the bike. The front telescopic , vertical cylinder engine, complete chain cover, slick and slightly puffed fuel , brakes, footrests, stylish rearview mirrors all carry out classic touch with this modern commuter.cheapest 100cc indian bike in bangladeshThe seat of Hero HF Dawn is neither so soft nor so stiff. It stands in the middle to ensure both comfort and longevity.  The saddle height is perfect for almost everyone to ride perfectly.  The handlebar is a classic pipe handle which is perfectly placed for the rider to commute properly. The front and the rear suspension are soft enough for daily commuting.

Rider can easily his bag/baggage on the carrier which placed at the end of the seat. The sitting positions of the rider and the pillion are leveled, so the pillion won’t face any extra wind pressure while on move. Also there is a large Sharee-guard at the left side of the bike to ensure security for the female pillions. So they can sit comfortably on the pillion seat and also get a plenty of space with the footrest.hero hf dawn engineHero HF Dawn is powered by a 97.2cc air cooled 4-stroke single cylinder engine which produces a maximum power of 8.36PS @8000RPM and maximum torque of 8.05NM @5000RPM. The bike weighs only 109 kg; so the power to weight ratio is pretty good, almost 1:12. It got a 4-speed gearbox, so it can be operated hassle free; moves fast and also conserve fuel.  The bike started by the kicker and unfortunately there is no electric start option, which is one of the downside of the bike.

The company claims as the bike can go 70 kilometers per liter of fuel and HF Down can clock a top speed around 85-90 km/h. Considering the power to weight ratio and as a 100cc fuel efficient commuter we think it’s a nice figure.  The braking system of the bike is drum type. The front wheel fitted with 130mm drum and the rear one with 110mm drum. We think a disk fitted brake was needed with the front wheel to make the system great. But keeping the price tag low we think hero didn’t added the disk brake system and the self starter.

The tires of the Hero HF Dawn are almost same sized on both wheels but featured slightly different. You may find the tires looked a bit tiny. But as a 100cc fuel efficient commuter you can expect wider tires. The tires are with very good grip and can easily deal with both city and rural roads; no matter you ride on muddy or broken asphalts. The ground clearance of 165mm made the bike good enough to ride anywhere in the city or villages. The wheels are steel rimed with spokes; and that ensures longevity in rural areas. It also minimized the price. The switches on the handle are neither so high quality nor so low, but they could have been better.hero hf dawn speedometerAt the last when talking about the dashboard we should remind you that it’s a low priced fuel efficient commuter where Hero tried to minimize the exterior costs. So the dashboard is very simple. It contains a speedometer and a fuel gauge only; there is no RPM meter and other enhancements like the high priced commuters. But we think Hero has not sacrificed the core features for minimizing the cost. You will find the headlamp, indicators and signals very quality full which surly help to ensure your safety while riding the Hero HF Down.

So readers here we are at the end of our summarization. We think you have gotten at least a sketch of the commuter Hero HF Down from our visual review so that you can primarily determine the features of the bike. It’s a low priced commuter which will help to on your daily routine and enhance your entertainment at the week end and no doubt it will save your money with its efficiency.
