Five Cheapest Motorcycle In Bangladesh
Last updated on 02-Sep-2024 , By Shuvo
When we talk about bikes among our friends we talk about Sports bike that are very popular in BD. Today i am going to discuss about the Five Cheapest In Bangladesh. The exclusive Yamaha R15 V2, when will Honda CBR 150R will come, why a beautiful looking Megelli does sound that loud and why a 125cc Hyosung GT 125 does has that big a kit. If we go down the group then we have a clash of which is the best 150cc commuter bike! And I even don’t want to go in the 125 and 100cc segments. But do we ever talk about low cc bikes; do we know that still 10% of all bikes in Dhaka city are under 80cc that has been sold in the last 5 years?

So what are these? They are usually Chinese engine that are assembled in Bangladesh sometimes using some local made parts to keep the price down as much as possible. Yes they are not that reliable bikes in terms of Indian bikes but for many people who don’t have a strong budget and also hope that he will get a good mileage in Dhaka city they always goes for these. Even my first bike was a 86cc Walton Leo which I rode for 8000 km in 9 months. These bikes are slick and easy to maneuver in congested Dhaka city. Usually I have seen people who are aged between 45-50 years old prefer this type of bike. So let’s go down the list and see the top 5 cheapest bikes available today in the market.
5. Emma LX – 80
72 cc, Price: 73,000 BDT
No doubt it looks like a Honda CD 80, it also has an engine that is spec as Honda but that engine is made in China. But trust neither the engine nor the quality comes anywhere near as Honda. It has all the features that the Singer SM100 has expect for the fact that it doesn’t have a electric starter which for many older people will be a bit tough to kick start the bike every now and then. That 4.4 BHP engine is probably the least powerful engine in the known universe. It does feels like they have forget to give POWER to this unit.

4. Dayang DY-50
50 cc, Price: 72000 BDT
Sounds funny a 50cc bike cost more than a 100 cc bike. But on the positive aspect this bike is probably one of the most fuel efficient bike in Dhaka city. But again they made a mistake of not having a self starter. But unlike the Emma LX 80 Dayang did some Power in the bike, and a lot of them, 5.1 BHP. I took it for a spin and did manage to do 75 kmph on it which proves my logic.

3. Zongshen ZS- 50
50 cc, Price: 72000 BDT
Another 50cc in this category but this time probably the only brand product in this list. Zongshen is one of the most renowned motorcycles in China. Everything about this bike is OK, tough to find a fault about it in this class, but I will find one and that is no SELF starter . 5.3 BHP which can top around 80 kmph and gives back 65 kmp/l as I tested it is not a BAD choice after all.

2. Power Miles
72cc, Price: 70000 BDT
So this is the 2nd cheapest bike that is currently available in BD is from Miles. Same problem which all the bikes down here has, no spoke wheel, so self starter. But as before the bike is slick and once I took a 20 km ride in Dhaka city I really got to understand why in a place like Banshal a bike of this caliper is 1000 times better then a Yamaha R15 V2 as with this you never fear a rickshaw. Power delivery is good and with a low riding position people who aren’t tall will also have fun riding this.

1. Singer SM100-3
97 cc, Price: 65,000 BDT
Yes I know it’s tough to think to have a 100 cc bike on this list and it is even jaw dropping to realize that this is the cheapest bike available in BD. Why does it cost that much??? It doesn’t look good but I doubt you will care what you get in that price bracket. It still offers a carrier on that back which is sometimes very helpful but the biggest thing about this bike is that it still uses that old fashioned spoke wheels rather than conventional alloy wheels. The main reason for that cost cut is cheap material and a low tune engine.
